founder & lead advisor

Cheryl Gates is the founder of Gates Way 2 Travel Service, a virtual full-service travel agency. She has been in the hospitality, tourism, and travel industry for over 17 years. Cheryl is committed to creating new adventures, and memories, as well as sharing her passion for travel with others. It is her belief that "Travel" is one of the best ways to enjoy life, have fun, rejuvenate, and create lasting bonds, and memories with family and friends. It is also an excellent way to check activities and destinations off your Possibilities List aka Buck List.

As a child, Cheryl dreamed of being a business owner and traveling the world first class. This dream came true in the early 2000s when four generations of her family went to Europe and stayed seven glorious weeks in Naples, Italy. It was an amazing and wonderful experience to see and visit places such as Florence, Pompei, Rome, Sorrento, and Venice. They enjoyed a gondola ride, visited the leaning tower of Pisa, and the Sistine Chapel that she read books about and seen on television.
